The City of Grand Rapids approved a developer’s plan to build as many as 250 market-rate apartments on the last vacant lot in Celebration Village, a large shopping and entertainment district on the city’s northeast edge.
On Thursday, the City Planning Commission approved the Victory Development Group’s request for a zoning amendment to redevelop Celebration Apartments, a mixed-use project on approximately 3 acres at 2160 Celebration Drive NE.
The apartments will occupy a site in the center of a sprawling commercial complex comprising the Celebration Cinema.
