West Point, Georgia (WTVM) – Sip Cafe and Wine Room is a full-service restaurant and bar. The business has been open since April 2021.
Now, the owners are expanding their reach by opening a private event space called Reunion on the same plaza. Owner Tiffany Welch said she wanted to bring a new experience to the area while providing employment opportunities and being a model for successful Black businesses.
“I think there is a great need for diversity here. Since we’ve been in the area, we’ve been welcomed. It’s important for young black men and women to see Jamie and I thrive here and grow and expand our business,” Welch said.
The Reunion is still under construction but will open next month. Welch also plans to open a coffee shop and bakery called Cooper Carrot in the unit next door.
