Allen Gardneran expert in the design and development of unmanned aerial systems, has been appointed Chief Technology Officer Borderline autonomy.
The San Luis Obispo, California-based driverless technology company said Tuesday that Gardner will help the company keep up with future demands and the evolving landscape of artificial intelligence and autonomous capabilities.
“Allen brings significant experience in innovating in the unmanned systems market, which will help us deliver ideal solutions to our customers’ critical challenges,” said Edge Autonomy CEO. john purvis.
gardner’s career began Northrop GrummanAerospace Systems business, where he worked as an aeronautical engineer, creating software programs for command and control and real-time survivability analysis of LO aircraft missions, among other projects. During his later tenure with the company, he was promoted to Chief Architect for Special Projects.
Between his two stints at Northrop, Gardner served as chief engineer at AME Unmanned Aircraft Systems, where he was the driving force behind the development of the SharkFin mission control system and part of the Fury UAS concept.The organization was subsequently acquired lockheed martin.
Prior to joining Edge Autonomy, Gardner spent five years as Chief Technology Officer at Skydweller Aero, an American-Spanish company focused on solar-powered aircraft technology.
The executive is reportedly particularly proficient in UAS mission control and optimization, as well as broad artificial intelligence.
In December 2022, Jennifer Hagerty was named Chief Human Resources Officer At Edge Autonomy, she leads the company’s diversity, equity and inclusion practices.
