On Saturday, Kangana Ranaut recently returned to Twitter after her account was banned in 2020 for violating the social media platform’s rules, tweeting: “Bollywood walon yeh narrative banane ki koshish mat karna ki iss desh mein tum Hindu hate se suffer kar rahe ho , agar maine phir se yeh word suna ‘triumph over hate’ toh tum logon ki wahi class lagegi jo kal lagi thi (Bollywood people, don’t try to predict you suffer hindu hate in this country. If i Heard another comment ‘over the hate’ and I’ll take your class. Enjoy your success, do a good job and stay out of politics.”

In response to her latest tweet, some Twitter users pointed out that Kangana was “desperately” tweeting about Patan for personal gain. One tweet read, “Chalo Pathaan ko side mein karte hai (let’s put Pathaan aside for a moment)… Another example of ‘overcoming hate’ is how your last nine films have failed in quick succession. Audiences have rejected Kangana, we know you are now desperate to be where Smriti Irani (BJP leader and union minister) is.” Another tweeted, “Madam ji, aap kaha se ho?? Bollywood se nahi ho?? Alag koi industry se aye ho kya (Aren’t you from Bollywood??”
Kangana had earlier reacted to a user who pointed out how her last film Dhaakad flopped at the box office. Responding to the comments on Friday, Kangana said, “Yes, Dhakad was a historic failure, when did I deny that? It’s SRK ji’s first successful movie in a decade, and we also take inspiration from him, Hopefully we can also get similar opportunities that India gave him. After all this India is great and it is generous, Jai Shri Ram.”
In a series of tweets on Friday, Kangana also responded to those who “claimed that Pathaan was a victory of love over hate”. She said the film’s “success” in theaters was only due to “India’s love and tolerance” for “a film called Pathaan”. Kangana tweeted: “To everyone who claims that Pathaan is love over hate, I agree, but whose love is over whose hate? Precisely, who bought the ticket and made it a success? Yes, India’s love and Where is inclusivity 80% of Hindus are alive but a movie called Pathan is coming out successfully which shows our enemy Pakistan and ISI in good light. It is this beyond hate and judgment Indian spirit makes it mahan (great)…”
The actor also tweeted: “It is love for India that triumphs over enemy hatred and petty politics. Lakin (but) all those with high hopes take note… Pathaan sirf ek film ho sakti hai …goonjega toh yahan sirf Jai Shri Ram…Jai Shri Ram (Pathaan is just a movie, only the cries of Jai Shri Ram will be heard in this country).
