ATWOOD — Authorities in Atwood are awaiting the results of toxicology tests before saying the likely cause of death of a man found on a city sidewalk Friday.
Eian W. Urban, 19, was found dead on Main and Center streets by a man picking up mail at the post office around 7:20 a.m., Atwood Police Chief Rob Bross said. On the sidewalk near the intersection.
“We’re trying to piece together a timeline of what happened, when and where, taking information from out-of-state family members and locals,” Bross said.
An autopsy performed in Bloomington on Saturday found no apparent cause of Mr Urban’s death. Toxicology results may take four to six weeks to become available.
The young man lives in Atwood but has no permanent address, Bross said. He also spent a lot of time in Hammond, the chief said.
No one else in the community was at risk, Bross said.
