Jisoo, a member of K-pop group BLACKPINK, will make her solo debut in 2023. BLACKPINK consists of Jisoo, Jennie, Rosé and Lisa. Jisoo is the last member to debut as a singer. Jisoo’s solo album is currently in the recording stage. Her agency, YG Entertainment, updated that she has finished filming the album and may announce the title soon.
In a statement, Soompi quoted Blackpink’s agency as saying, “BLACKPINK’s Jisoo is currently working hard on recording her solo album. Since last year, in the midst of her busy world tour schedule, in order to fulfill the promise with fans, she will be available whenever she is free.” Finished shooting the album cover and producing the music. Currently, Blackpink members Lisa, Jisoo, Rose and Jennie are touring various countries for their Born Pink World Tour. After the US, they will travel to North America, Europe, Asia and Australia, among other places. The tour will end in late June 2023.
Blackpink released their debut album Square One in 2016. Their latest album, Born Pink, is out in September 2022, marking their comeback after a two-year hiatus. They took a break to focus on their solo careers, just like BTS.
So far, Jennie, Rosé, and Lisa have given fans their solo albums, and with the latest update on Jisoo’s debut solo album, it seems like the group might be announcing a new project to fans.
