Riyadh, Saudi Arabia: Cenomi, Saudi Arabia’s largest vertically integrated retail and lifestyle ecosystem, has appointed three new Chief Technology and Information Officers (CTIOs) to implement a world-class digital technology infrastructure. Cenomi Group, Cenomi Centers and Cenomi Retail have appointed three new CTIOs, further underscoring the companies’ commitment to adopting best-in-class technology to deliver next-generation omni-channel retail and lifestyle experiences.
Binoo Joseph joins Cenomi Group as CTIO, Lijo Kankapadan as CTIO of Cenomi Centers and Sunil Nair as CTIO of Cenomi Retail. These appointments further strengthen the company’s continued drive to usher in a new era of retail, shopping and entertainment for the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, backed by a strong, innovative digital and technology infrastructure.
The company has ambitious plans to develop and implement a world-class omni-channel presence in Saudi Arabia. The creation of these new positions is further evidence of the pace at which the company aims to roll out a customer-centric strategy that redefines the retail and lifestyle landscape for consumers across the country. At its heart lies the soon-to-launch Cenomi e-commerce marketplace. The 100-person team behind Cenomi.com is expected to double in size this year, helping to provide Saudi consumers with a new online shopping experience, access to some of the world’s most popular brands, and domestic fulfillment and delivery.

Mourad’s own career has been focused on technology, and he has spent a significant portion of his career at technology companies, including in Silicon Valley. “It has always been clear to me that investment in world-class digital infrastructure and technology is an integral focus area for Cenomi,” he added. “It will underpin our journey into 2023 and beyond. Not only through the launch of Cenomi.com, but also through a seamless digital consumer journey to deliver a new level of customer service and experience. Binoo joins Cenomi Group with over 20 years of multinational experience as a distinguished technology, product and engineering leader. He has led teams and projects in India, UK, US, Europe, China, Singapore and the Middle East. Worked with some of the largest and most renowned retail, hospitality and technology companies in the world including Tesco, Wipro and Damac Properties, most recently as CTIO for Emaar Group.
Lijo, who joins Cenomi Centers, has been transforming organizations through digital innovation for over 25 years. He has deep expertise in developing new features, enhancing customer experience and developing high performance teams to deliver holistic digital journeys, most recently as Technology Leader for Emaar Group’s business verticals (shopping malls, hospitality and entertainment).
Sunil brings nearly 30 years of experience to his role at Cenomi Retail. A global digital and technology transformation strategist, Sunil has held various strategic and operational leadership roles in multinational organizations. He has expertise in retail, consumer, healthcare, manufacturing and omnichannel/e-commerce. Prior to joining Cenomi Retail, he was Group Chief Information Officer for GMG, a leading global retailer and distributor of health supplements.
