Duluth, Minnesota – It’s hard to stay active in winter because it can get so cold at times. Well, for the kids, there’s a range of free indoor games to help keep them active.
The Young Athletes Foundation has partnered with the Grandmother’s Marathon to run a race for children ages 1 to 14. The event is held at UMD’s Ward Wells Field House.Before each race, the kids do some much-needed stretching so they don’t get hurt running on the track
Greg Happala, organizer of the event, said: “As part of our programme, the Young Athletes Foundation is privileged to host a series of these events throughout the year. They are all free. This is a free opportunities for parents to take their kids out and exercise in a fun environment, all about coming out and having fun.” >
This is the second game in a series of three free rolls. More information can be found on the Grandma’s Marathon website. The next game will be at Wisconsin Senior University’s Marcovich Health Center on February 4th.Registration starts at 9:00am, races start at 10:00am
