KITCHENER, ON / ACCESSWIRE / January 23, 2023 / Cloud DX (TSXV:CDX)(OTCQB:CDXFF), A leading health data platform has announced a new contract with Ontario Family Health to provide remote patient monitoring (RPM) to palliative care patients in the community. Digital health innovators continue to demonstrate the beneficial use of telenursing technology in care management that relies heavily on monitoring and questionnaires, such as mental health, palliative care, and/or pain management care plans; this is 2nd palliative contract In Ontario, 3road In Canada, featuring Connected Health™ solutions and the Cloud DX virtual care platform.
In a new initiative, Ontario Health Centers, with support from county community nurses, is launching a palliative care program to better support patients in managing serious, chronic or life-threatening illnesses. The program is designed to help patients manage their disease symptoms, which may include pain and discomfort, nausea, depression, anxiety, stress and fatigue.
The company’s RPM solution, Connected Health™, lets patients record vital signs such as blood pressure, heart rate, pulse oximetry, weight and temperature at home, while their healthcare team monitors the readings in near real time. Patients also participate in customized questionnaires designed to assess their symptoms and condition. Palliative care patients using Connected Health™ will have 24/7 access to healthcare professionals.
Palliative care is one of 12 proven use cases for Cloud DX Connected Health, which is also being deployed in Canada and the US for post-operative monitoring, chronic care management, rehabilitation, neurological disorders, and mental healthcare.
