The Community Behavioral Health Collaborative works to increase access to clinical/therapeutic mental health services and stimulate an increase in the number of qualified clinical mental health professionals, especially at the master’s and doctoral levels.
Collaborative efforts:
- Match pre- and/or graduate interns at the master’s and doctoral level in various behavioral health [e.g., MFT, CPC, NP-P, MSW, LCADC, PSYCH, MED] and qualified clinical directors to non-profit human services organizations in order to provide services to those most in need.
- Interns are encouraged to gain exposure to such agencies to increase recruitment and retention, thereby increasing the pool of qualified clinical supervisors.
- Coordinates regular graduate level behavioral health training program meetings to maximize collaboration.
