COLUMBUS, Ohio (WCMH) — With the Eastland Mall officially closing its doors Saturday, a small business that made the mall its home is now looking for a new location.
“Anthony’s Nu Wave Entertainment” opened in Eastland in July 2020 just over two years ago. Tony and Tina Fleisher started this small business to provide a variety of family entertainment, community outreach and worship services. The couple learned in November that they needed to close their doors by December 31.

“We had hoped that Eastland Mall would return to normal and that everything would be fine again,” Tina said. “After the pandemic, it started off really well, but a lot of things we didn’t know because we were out there.”
The pair have been moving away from Eastland for the last month. On Saturday, they spend time thinking about what their small business means to them.
“Oh my gosh, that was great, the vibe was really nice and warm,” said Tina Fleisher. “LED lights everywhere, flat screen TVs, big TVs, big black and red back pendants that say Anthony’s Nu Wave when you’re looking straight ahead [Entertainment] There are also high bars and stools and so on. “
As they packed up and left, the pair said there were still many questions.
“Everything was packed up and put away and we didn’t know what was going to happen next,” Tina said. “It’s a struggle and I’m just human.”
She said they kept their faith, but it was tough. However, the pair said their goal was to find a new place as soon as possible.
