Ontario — A long-established entertainment company in north-central Ohio has expanded into men’s formalwear after taking over a similar store in the Richland Mall.
Nyte-Flyte Entertainment has been in business since 1983 with a menswear store, “Nyte-Flyte Entertainment Presents a Black Tie Affair,” located next to the food court on the former site of the Commodore Tuxedo in the United States.
“We had to pull out all the stops at the same time,” said owner Jeff Angelini, who started the business in March 2021, just before prom season started but at the height of the COVID pandemic Expect. “I thought it was well done. We had to learn a lot along the way.”
The retailer specializes in a full range of tuxedos and formalwear for weddings, proms, and other special occasions. Brands available for rent or purchase include popular designer names like JFW (Jim’s Formal Wear) and Milroy’s, Angelini said.
Men’s suits are more popular than traditional evening gowns, Angelini said, with a variety of styles and especially colors taking center stage. “In terms of color, it’s becoming more and more varied.

Angelini said the groom and members of the wedding party also embraced recent color trends when choosing formal attire for the big day. Tuxedos and suits are usually dark blue or dark gray, but a hint of bridal color is often added in ties or accessories, he said.
Nyte-Flyte bought its men’s formalwear line from Bridals by B after its boss retired, Angelini said.
Until then, the company has been known for focusing on the entertainment side of weddings and special occasions, offering disc jockeys, emcees and even photo booths.
The company provides professional sound systems, video screens and custom lighting for parties and corporate events, he said. “Adding a lighting element can transform a room from something that looks like a cafeteria or meeting space to something that looks like an evening.”
