Roanoke, VA (WDBJ) – The Hangout Sports Bar and Lounge will celebrate its second anniversary in February. 2022 is a big year for business.
“The plan last year was to start cutting down the woods, and we started doing that around February last year. We continued through the summer until we got on stage and everything was nailed down, and we could actually have that balance here. And then We started our internal expansion in the fall,” said Lori Edwards, owner and operator of The Hangout.
Hangouts now have a fully open outdoor area with a live music stage. The internal extension includes more open space and an area for playing pool.
“It’s just something I’ve been doing all my life, being at home with the kids, and just keep bringing new things that they can play with and have fun with. It’s kind of like Hangouts, we just keep bringing in new things that everybody loves to do .”
It will be special for Edwards and her team to continue to grow and provide more opportunities for everyone who comes in.
“We just love seeing people having fun. That’s the bottom line of it. I love seeing people smile. The best nights are when I can sit and look at the crowd and everyone has a great smile on their faces, laughing. Everything they love to do is here.”
Edwards said it was a team effort and they’re excited about what’s coming in 2023.
