Starting next season, Hershey Park visitors will no longer be able to experience The Whip.
The news was announced Saturday on Hersheypark’s Twitter account, but did not specify why the ride was out of service.
The Whip is a family-friendly attraction with a decades-long journey. Originally purchased by Milton Hershey in 1939, The Whip originally stood near today’s sooperdooperlooper entrance until it was first decommissioned in 1976. Whip returned in 1997 and is located in the park’s Midway America section until the 2022 season.
In November, Hersheypark announced that its newest addition, “Wildcat’s Revenge,” will premiere early in the 2023 season.
