Jameela Jamil wanted to play a “Star Wars” villain.
The 36-year-old actress played Ascenia on “Star Trek: The Prodigy,” and voiced Wonder Woman in DC’s “DC Super Pets” and Eris in DC’s “Joker” while she Joining the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) as Mary MacPherran/Titania in ‘She-Hulk: Attorney at Law’, now she has another franchise to complete here ‘Nerdy EGOT’.
She told SFX Magazine: “I’ve done DC, I’ve done MCU, I’m on ‘Star Trek’ now, so it’s only natural that I should at least be allowed to do catering in ‘Star Wars.’
“I’ve always called it my nerdy EGOT — that would be the ultimate dream come true and fulfill every fantasy I had as a 12-year-old.”
Asked what role she would like to play, she replied: “I can take almost any role, but I think a villain.
“I really enjoy playing the bad guy.
“I love complex characters who are mentally incompatible at first and we can find relatability to them.
“Now we’re so divided. We’re almost trying to misunderstand each other.
If we don’t understand each other, we will never find our way back to each other.
“It’s something I’m very interested in, helping people understand people who are different from them.
“So I like playing the villain.”
