The Department of Defense recently issued a memorandum on the Joint Department of Defense COVID-19 Force Health Protection (FHP) Guidance – Revision 4. Effective immediately, the memorandum amends the Preamble, Executive Summary, and Sections 1.3, 1.4, 2.1, 3.3, 4.1-4.4, 5.1- 5.5, 5.9-5.10, 5.12, 6, 7.1-7.7, 9.
Where applicable, the changes end coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) screening tests based on vaccination status; end the requirement to ask about COVID-19 vaccination status; and update individual protocols for patients exposed to COVID-19 ; remove the need for workplace occupancy restrictions for each health protection condition level; and revise travel guidance.
