Katy Perry said one of her biggest regrets was turning down a collaboration with Billie Eilish.
The 38-year-old singer revealed she was approached to work with Billie, 21, before she became a superstar, but Katie turned down the offer.
In a TikTok post by 102.7 KIIS FM, Katie can be seen explaining: “One time someone sent me an email saying: ‘Hey look at this new artist. I really wish we could Work with her because she’s working with me for Unsub [Records].
“It was a song called ‘Ocean Eyes,’ and it was just a girl with blonde hair. I was like, ‘Well, boring.’
“Big mistake. Big mistake. Don’t let it go online.”
Eilish rose to fame with “Ocean Eyes” in 2015 and has since won seven Grammys, a Golden Globe and an Academy Award for Best Original Song.
Katie appeared in Billie’s 2021 documentary, “Billie Eilish: The World Is a Little Blurry,” when she revealed that her co-star Orlando Bloom is a huge fan of hers.
Katie told Billie: “My fiancĂ© doesn’t listen to modern music, he just keeps you in the car.”
She added: “Congratulations, I’m so proud of you. I would say it’s going to be a crazy 10 years. If you want to talk about it… because it’s been a weird ride.”
