Bakersfield, Calif. (KGET) – The Kern County Public Health Services Department will launch a travel program designed to help Kern County residents learn more about vital signs that are critical to their health.
The department’s “Know Your Numbers” program will be held Thursday at Wonderful College Prep Academy. According to a release from KPHD, the program will offer two health screenings informing applicants of body mass index, blood pressure, blood sugar and cholesterol levels before and after a six-week nutrition and fitness coaching session.
“Joining Public Health’s Know Your Digital Initiative is a great way for Delano residents to start 2023,” said David Couch, Supervisor for District 4 of the Kern County Board of Supervisors, in a release. Public Health The department is launching a six-week travel program in partnership with Delano Wonderful College Prep Academy to provide free nutrition and fitness instruction, and I encourage residents to take advantage of this life-changing opportunity.”
The community is invited to join the program this Thursday between 4:30pm and 5:30pm for initial screening, fitness and nutrition classes to be held on Thursday, January 26th at the above times. Last health check on March 2nd until February 23rd.
