Memphis, Tennessee – A public memorial service will be held next weekend at Graceland, the famous Memphis home of Lisa Marie Presley’s father, Elvis Presley.
A representative for Lisa Marie Presley’s daughter and actor Riley Keough said the memorial service for Lisa Marie Presley will be Held on the lawn in front of the mansion on January 22 at 9 am.
Pressley, 54, died Thursday hours after being admitted to the emergency hospital.
It was previously reported that Presley would be buried in Graceland next to her son, Benjamin Keough, who died in 2020. Elvis and other members of the Presley family were also buried in Graceland.
Lisa Marie is a singer-songwriter herself and doesn’t live in her birthplace of Memphis. But she traveled to the city to celebrate her father’s birthday and to commemorate his death, which shocked the world when he was found dead in Graceland on August 16, 1977, aged 42.
Lisa Marie became sole heir to the Elvis Presley Trust, which managed Graceland and other assets with Elvis Presley Enterprises until she sold her majority stake in 2005. She retains title to the mansion itself, the surrounding 13 acres and its contents.
She is survived by her mother, Priscilla Presley, and her three children.
