    Bottom line: UC Davis faces Long Beach State Beach after Elijah Pepper scored 28 points in UC Davis’ 79-58 win over the CSU Bakersfield Roadrunners.

    The Beaches went 5-3 at home. Long Beach State led the Big West with 14.7 assists per game, and Joel Murray averaged 3.8 assists per game.

    The Aggies beat their Big West opponent 6-3. UC Davis is 2-3 in games decided by three points or fewer.

    The Beaches and Aggies face off for the first time in Big West games this season on Saturday.
