Grantham, PA (January 21, 2023) — The Stevens Institute of Technology men’s swim team won four of 11 games with a perfect 3- 0 record.

The wins for Rodgers and Platonov put the two swimmers at the top of the Mid-Atlantic Conference (MAC) leaderboard. Rodgers put the second swimmer sixth in the 400 IM with a winning time of 4:25.88, while conference Rookie of the Year Platonov was second in the MAC after winning the 200 fly with 1:57.76.
Kolenovic led a field of 12 swimmers with a time of 1:59.85, and the Ridgewood, N.J., native led the conference leaderboard with a time of 1:48.64 at the TCNJ Invitational.
In the final game of the day, the Ducks won with a time of 3:13.42, breaking the previous pool record of 3:15.58 set in 2012. The Ducks maintained their lead at the TCNJ Invitational with a time of 3:11.15.
In addition to the Ducks’ four first-place finishes, Stevens has four second-place finishes.In the first race of the day, the Ducks finished second in the 200-yard medley relay as a freshman foursome Leo Timmerman and Lucas Miculinas join sophomore jack martin Stibor was posted at 1:39.39. Stibor (49.15 seconds) and Cermak (49.35 seconds) finished second and third in the 100-yard freestyle, while the sophomores Ryan Ward (4:59.48) and Platonov (4:59.93) finished second and third in the 500-yard freestyle. Mikulenas finished second in the 200-yard breaststroke (2:15.83).It is also worth noting that the junior Feng Chen (2:19.02) finished third in the 200 Breast, the third of 11 races, with the Ducks finishing second and third.
