“Our business has been trying to avoid becoming a commodity, a commodity that can easily be replaced by the next commodity,” said Jacob Craton, president of Rolling Wave Capital.
For Kraton, that means competition.
“You have to try to find what separates you from other people,” Clutton said.
He found it in artificial intelligence.
“As a digital assistant, at least, it’s the most powerful tool in existence,” Clutton said.
It gathers complex earnings reports from large public companies.

“ChatGPT allows me to summarize these, see what’s working and what’s not, and change the portfolio based on what the past quarter’s earnings show,” Craton said.
Now, other apps have sprung up, billed as AI assistants.
Infostream technologist Alan Crowetz says he’s even found ways to use artificial intelligence to increase a site’s exposure.
“In one week, I had the biggest gain in years,” Kravitz said. “It’s a great time to go for white-collar jobs.”
The thought flashed through Clutton’s mind.
“If it keeps going, it can become a competitor,” Clutton said. “But it’s still not a real emotional person sitting across from you.”
From task management, to wrapping up documents, to organizing calendars, these business owners say there’s a lot more AI can do for free or as their cheapest employee — and it’s only going to get smarter.
“I always say please to it,” Clutton said. “In case this thing becomes Terminator 2.”
