Mike Myers Jr. scored 23 points and 11th-ranked TCU took the lead in a 79-52 win over Oklahoma on Tuesday night.
Even without injured big man Eddie Lampkin Jr., the Horned Frogs had a 23-point victory in what was then their 23rd game. 2 Kansas scored the first 11 points of the game at home.
Damion Baugh and Micah Peavy added 13 points for TCU (16-4, 5-3 Big 12). Oklahoma: The Sooners are now 0-5 against the top 25 teams, with three turnovers before the first shot. It was an aerial 3-pointer from Sheffield, moving from Fort Worth to Oklahoma. Sheffield was the Sooners’ leading scorer with 17 points per game, but was limited to five on 2-for-11 shooting from the field — just 1-for-8 from 3-point range.
TCU: Frogs built an early 20-8 lead even after Baugh hit a 3-pointer for an 8-0 lead, went 7-for-8 and closed in nearly 5 1/2 minutes No layup inside. TCU scored eight straight points on free throws, with Miles fouling twice on 3-pointers and making each of them. Miles scored 17 points in the half, including 10 of 10 free throws.

The TCU football team is recognized at halftime as coach Sonny Dykes and the team surround the trophy in the College Football Playoff semifinal Fiesta Bowl as the Frogs beat Michigan. Highlights from that game were shown on the video board, but there was no specific mention of the ensuing 65-7 loss to Georgia in the CFP National Championship Game. TCU’s 13 victories matched the school record.
