Deadline understands that Peacock executives were happy with the ideas for both shows, but they just didn’t find the audience necessary to justify more seasons.
one of us is lying, based on the novel by Karen M. McManus, launches in October 2021 and is the first Peacock pilot to enter the series. It was renewed for a second season earlier this year, airing in October 2022.
vampire academy received a direct-to-series order in May 2021 and premiered in September 2022.
Both shows are from the Universal Studios group.

Plec and MacIntyre join Emily Cummins, Don Murphy, Susan Montford, Deepak Nayar and Jillian DeFrehn on the Peacock series. Bille Woodruff directs the pilot. Other series directors include Plec, Luis Prieto, Jesse Warn, Erica Dunton and Geoff Shotz.
vampire academy Produced by Universal Television, part of the Universal Studio Group. It also does well internationally, selling to more than 100 territories around the world. Likewise, the studio is exploring other options for continuing the show.
The cancellation isn’t a huge surprise, as streaming is entering its next phase of evolution.

The anchor also recently ordered a contemporary horror thriller based on the work of Robert McCammon prick From author Ian McCulloch (yellowstone park), James Wan from Atomic Monster (Spiritualism Universe) and UCP, with other upcoming titles such as based on a true story by Kaley Cuoco and Mrs Davis From Damon Lindelof and Tara Hernandez.
