Pamela Anderson feels ‘violated’ by ‘Pam and Tommy’ producers.
The biographical series explores Pamela’s whirlwind romance with music star Tommy Lee, with the 55-year-old actress admitting to being frustrated with the Hulu show.
“How could they do that?” she asked.
Lily James plays Pamela in the show, but the blonde beauty didn’t blame the British actress for agreeing to play.
Pamela – who was married to Tommy between 1995 and 1998 – told the Guardian: “I heard she was nominated for an Emmy, but maybe it was a joke.
“It’s not her fault; it’s a job. But whoever created it — well, it feels like stealing something else.”
Lily, 33, underwent a dramatic transformation in order to play Pamela in the TV series.
The actress spends four hours a day getting her hair and makeup done – but she’s still enjoying the experience.
Lily shared: “That’s the coolest thing about being an actor, can you do these opposite things. Like I have brown curly hair and no makeup [in ‘Yesterday’]and then four hours into this incredible hair and makeup team, I suddenly changed.
“It’s amazing, I’m lucky. It’s like playing fiction all the time.”
Lily also revealed that she is looking forward to watching Pamela’s Netflix documentary, Pamela, a Love Story.
She said: “I can’t wait to see [Pamela’s documentary] and learn more.
“Of course, we can only do the best we can with the information we have, so it’s important that she is able to tell her story. I’ll be watching along with the rest of the world. I’m eager to see what she has to say, to hear what it’s all about .”
