British Plimsoll Productions has appointed format and distribution veteran Andrea Jackson as creative director of Factual Entertainment.
This puts her at the forefront of developing, packaging and executive producing format and factual entertainment content for Plimsoll.
In her new role, Jackson will report to Plimsoll chief executive Grant Mansfield and join the executive leadership team of the ITV Studios family of companies.
Plimsoll bought Jackson’s improv distribution business, Magnify Media, in 2020, five years after she founded the company.
Magnify continues to operate independently following the sale, but is now poised to be “fully integrated” into ITV Studios’ distribution business. Dealer’s primary titles include Fox’s Marika: The Lion Queenbbc my unique homestay and ABC’s Women of 9/11.
Jackson’s previous roles included eight years as Managing Director of DRG, which sold to MTG before its catalog was sold to All3Media. She also co-founded Zeal Entertainment

last year, Small World and animal Manufacturer Plimsoll sold a majority stake to ITV Studios for more than $100 million. Several market watchers believe the deal has sparked more M&A interest in high-end fact-makers and boosted their value.
It currently has 20 shows in production, including Climbing with Alex Honnold and great migration National Geographic/Disney+ and year on earth For Fox.More recently, its James Cameron executive produced and Benedict Cumberbatch narrated supernatural Available on National Geographic/Disney+. Experienced production and development executive Alan Eyres has also been named head of Plimsoll USA.
