Providence, Rhode Island – For the second consecutive year, Providence College men’s basketball and 12 Sports join forces PC Hoops and Coach Cooley. The season premieres on Sunday, January 29day.
The 30-minute show will air every Sunday at 10:30 p.m. on FOX Providence for eight weeks this season. 12 Sporting Director Morey Hershgordon will host the show, featuring weekly exclusive interviews with Friar head coaches Ed Cooleyand watch his show behind the scenes.
According to recent polls, Friars is currently ranked 23/21. The team is 4-0 at home in BIG EAST this season with wins over Marquette, UConn, St. John’s and DePaul. The team is 11-0 at home so far this season and is 32-1 in their past 33 games at the Amica Mutual Pavilion.
“We are excited to once again partner with 12 Sports to participate in the PC Hoops with Coach Cooley,” said Providence College Athletic Director Steve Napolillo. “12 Sports are the leaders in our community. They continue to provide our fans with quality coverage of Friar Basketball and in-depth analysis of the team.”
Coach Cooley led the Friars to six NCAA Tournament appearances, more than any other Providence College coach. Cooley won the 2022 BIG EAST Coach of the Year and Naismith Coach of the Year awards, becoming the first Friar coach to receive both honors.
