The Toronto Raptors start Wednesday night as they travel west to take on the Sacramento Kings at 10 p.m. ET.
where to watch
Sportsnet and FAN 590 will broadcast the game in Toronto. NBC Sports California and Sactown Sports 1140 will broadcast in Sacramento.
what to pay attention to
- Whatever hope remains of this season’s revival before the trade deadline will come down to this seven-game West Coast road trip and beating a team like Sacramento. Utah and Houston shouldn’t be fighting too much, but Toronto will have to beat a team as good as the Kings to convince the front office that it can’t fail this season.
- There was a lengthy film session in Toronto Tuesday morning looking back at last season’s defensive films. This year’s group has taken a big step backwards, but considering the roster is pretty much the same as last year’s group, there’s always something to hopefully click.
- Trade rumors have swirled around this team for much of the last month. Everyone says it won’t affect them, but as we get closer to the trade deadline, tensions could rise with changes on the horizon.
injury report
OG Anunoby is questionable, but expected to play for the Raptors. Dalano Banton is also questionable. Otto Porter Jr. is out.
Sacramento has yet to release an injury report.
game odds
The Raptors are the underdogs at +4.5 with an implied win probability of 41.7%. The overall score of the game is 237.5.
