Salt Lake City – After a tough first road game against No. 1 Oklahoma State Suna last week, No. 4 Red Rock returns to the Huntsman Center to take on the No. 25 Washington Huskies.
The game was never in doubt, as the Red Rocks were quick to notice that the Huskies weren’t playing. After several season highs, Utah beat the Huntsman Center 197.975-196.350.

The Red Rocks got off to a good start after the first round, leading the Huskies 49.425-49.000. The highlight of the vault was Jillian Hoffman’s stuck 1.5. This is the first time she has competed in the vault since returning from injury last season.
Rotation Two: Utah Bar, UW Vault
Score is too low today. One judge gave Grace McCallum’s bar routine a 10 and another a 9.900. She’s like a 3rd or 4th routine with a big difference in scoring. #Utes

Another great performance from the Red Rocks’ second-round rotation, with Mel O’Keeffe and Grace McCallum being the stars of the show. There is a pattern today where there are extreme differences in how routines are scored today. Utah has about three or four routines so far with a one-tenth difference between referees, which is a lot. For example, one judge gave McCallum a 10 and another a 9.900.

Crowd wanted a 10 for O’Keefe but had to settle for a 9.975. Absolutely amazing effort once again.#GoUtes #BeamTeam #believe pic.twitter.com/S0ikIzmBDo

Another nifty effort, even with some unusual bugs from Red Rocks. Maile O’Keefe and Cristal Isa round out the rotation perfectly. Utah entered the fourth with a very comfortable lead.

The best rotation the Red Rocks could have had all season. Rucker and McCallum finished with high scores and the energy continued to build.
