A new restaurant and entertainment venue is coming to Fall River.
Attorney David Assad represented co-owners of Origen Restaurant Bar & Grill Elvis Verdezoto at a Fall River Licensing Board meeting on Wednesday to request a new all-alcohol generic Victuallers license and entertainment license.
The Latin American restaurant, formerly SADO Asian Food Sushi & Bar, will open at 159 South Street downtown.
Hours of operation are expected to be Sunday-Wednesday 11:00am-11:00pm and Thursday-Saturday 11:00am-2:00am

No opening date for the new venture has been announced.
Entertainment includes live music, a DJ or karaoke.
Verdezoto’s wife and another co-owner have extensive restaurant experience, according to Assad.
According to the property’s previous rental listing, the restaurant has been recently remodeled within the past 3 years with new equipment, floors, walls and exterior. There are 135 seats with built-in cubicles and movable tables and chairs. The bar also has a 24 tap system.
Verdezoto received the permission requested by the board.
