
MARSHFIELD, Wisconsin (OnFocus) – The Marshfield and Columbus Leadership Alliance (MCLA) Marshfield High School group sponsored the second annual district-wide student T-shirt design competition to raise awareness of how connection can aid mental health .
MCLA is a student body supported by MACY (Marshfield Youth Regional Alliance). The competition theme is caring, compassion and connection.
Over 260 designs were submitted and the top ten designs were selected by the Student Services team. Students of all grades were encouraged to vote on the design and nearly 1,600 students voted.
The winning design was designed by Lauren Katzenberger.
“This is the second annual t-shirt design contest sponsored by MCLA. MCLA is committed to running events and raising awareness about issues like mental health, while also working to promote a positive school climate and positive school relationships,” said Grant School Social Work said Joanne Greenlee. “The t-shirt contest is a way for students to participate in our campaign and receive tangible products to continue our message.”
The t-shirts are available to order at Premier Printing HERE from January 12th to January 26th.
- T-shirts will be worn on Friday, February 17, 2023.
- Funds raised from the sale of the T-shirt will go to the Marshfield School-Based Mental Health Alliance to help with the cost of mental health treatment for students who cannot afford treatment.
