According to a report by IGN citing “multiple sources,” Sony Interactive Entertainment, Microsoft, and Nintendo will not be attending E3 2023.
While Microsoft recently confirmed it would “return to Los Angeles this summer for its annual showcase,” it didn’t specify whether it would be part of E3 2023.
In an interview with IGN last week, Microsoft Gaming CEO Phil Spencer said it was scheduling its presentation at a time that would be “convenient for the press and even consumers,” suggesting that it will take place around the same time as E3 2023 .
Sony Interactive Entertainment hasn’t been to E3 since E3 2018.
Neither the Entertainment Software Association — the group that runs E3 — nor any of the three platform holders commented on IGN’s report.
