LITTLE ROCK, Arkansas — Education and energy in Arkansas were hot topics in this week’s “Business and Politics Talk” as the state legislature spun into high gear.
Talk Business & Politics host Roby Brock meets with Arkansas Electric Cooperative CEO Buddy Hasten. Hasten talked about the state of energy production in Arkansas and how the recently started legislative session will affect it.
Next, Brock looks back at the headlines in the Arkansas business world last week.
Brock then met with Laurie Lee, president of the Alliance for Reform, a nonprofit organization dedicated to providing equal access to quality education for K-12 students in Arkansas. Lee spoke about her organization’s goals, scholarship for success and the continuing school choice debate in the Legislature.
