NAVASOTA, Texas (KBTX) – New health care opportunities have entered Grimes County.
Texas A&M Health opened its first home care clinic Saturday in Navasota.
The clinic has operating theaters, ultrasound rooms, nine examination rooms and other facilities.
Home care clinics provide home care, pediatric care and maternity care.
Texas A&M University said it was part of a larger plan to provide medical resources to rural communities.
“As a state, we have a large rural population, which is an important part of our economy. Providing healthcare to this population is our top priority,” said John Mogford, Chief Operating Officer and Senior Vice President, Texas A&M Health Sciences Center.
