(WXYZ) — The University of Michigan Health System says a cyber attack on a provider is affecting their public website.
The hospital system issued the following statement regarding the attack. They also emphasized that none of the affected systems contained patient information.
The University of Michigan Health public website has been experiencing intermittent issues due to a cyber attack on a third-party vendor we use to host some of our websites. We are working with a third party to mitigate it and hope to have our site up and running as soon as possible.
Patients can still access the patient portal through myuofmhealth.org.
The only sites attacked were public sites hosted by third-party vendors. None of the affected sites contain patient information, and all patient information is secure.
