In Week 17 of the NFL, the Cleveland Browns take on the Washington Commanders. While the Browns are out of playoff contention, the Commanders remain in the playoffs with a 7-7-1 record.
Carson Wentz will take over as commander again this week after succeeding Taylor Heinicke. Coach Ron Rivera hopes Wentz can bring a spark to this offense, and if he does, it could be by linking up with tight end Terry McLaurin or Jahan Dotson. Curtis Samuel also had a good season for the Commanders.
With some decent football weather, there’s no better time for the Browns’ offense to sort things out to close out the season. Seeing Deshaun Watson play well and score offensively is exactly what you want to see going into the offseason.
On the injury report, only Jadeveon Clowney’s status is up in the air.
