When the procedural drama posted some epic news on social media on Jan. 12, loyal viewers received a major surprise. Post a current photo of SSA David Rossi (joe mantegna), Unit Leader Emily Prentiss (Paget Brewster) and Dr. Tara Lewis (aisha taylor), the program excitedly announced the renewal of Paramount + Criminal Minds: Evolution For new season 2 episodes.
“Come on for next season!!! ๐ #CriminalMinds,” reads a post on the show’s official Instagram.
But along with this big reveal, they also made a big request.For next season, fans want to see Matthew Return to TV as Dr. Spencer Reid.

Now Criminal Minds: Evolution With the green light for season 2, it’s certainly possible for audiences to see the boy genius return. While he hasn’t been featured in the new reboot so far, it does mention where he’s going with a job in another division. But since the actor himself has yet to share an update of his own, fans will have to wait and see. What we do know is that he’s busy working on his line of Rumple Buttercup merchandise based on his best-selling children’s book of 2019.

As for the expectations for the new season Criminal Minds: Evolution, to be determined. But Paramount+ is excited to continue the franchise, with TVLine reporting that filming will begin later this year.
