WWE’s Paul Heyman Teases Eagles Fans With Brock Purdy Whoops Originally Appeared On NBC Sports Bayarea
WWE manager Paul Heyman didn’t endear himself to Philadelphia sports fans on Monday.
During “Monday Night Raw” at the Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia, Heyman mentioned the upcoming NFC championship game between the 49ers and the Eagles.
Hyman’s declaration that the Eagles would be “conquered” by 49ers quarterback Brock Purdy was predictably loudly booed by the crowd.
The statement comes a month after Heyman blasted Purdy on Twitter.
Hyman, who has managed wrestling stars like Brock Lesnar and CM Punk, tweeted in Purdy that he changed his name — because his last name is not Lesnar — and dismissed The idea that Mr. Irrelevant is now relevant.
It appears that Purdy has won Heyman over.
Purdy will continue his incredible undefeated run when the 49ers visit Lincoln Financial Field on Sunday. San Francisco has won seven games in a row led by a rookie center and has won 12 in a row.
